DMH Spotlight - Sequels to the 1960s: Seminar on Gender History Back

Diana Mara Henry presented her historic photographs of the First National Women's Conference, Houston, 1977, and a newly created slide show on gender in an afternoon session at the Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library's Summer Seminar on Gender History, June 22-27, in Cambridge, MA. Her photograph of Karen DeCrow, President of N.O.W., in white sash, during a demonstration for the ERA in NYC, 1976, appears on the invitation to the event. It is one of 500 of Diana Mara Henry's photographs that constitute the Diana Mara Henry collection at the Library. Diana Mara Henry was the first contemporary photographer whose work was taken into the Schlesinger Library's collections, in 1976.
